Corning

From Watking Glen, we continued to head south until we reached Corning, NY-home of Corning Glass Ware. We went to the glass museum while we were there, wich was pretty facinating. There were some modern art displays, a historical display that takes you through the history of glass, a fiber optics display, some modern uses/developments of glass display,  a glass breaking demo, and a glass blowing demo. It was a lot of fun to see the different types of glass through history and the beautiful art created from it.

This bobcat was made entirely of glass.

This is an original Tiffany Stained Glass Window, which was beautiful.

This the first attempt at making a giant telescope lens. It cracked while being created. They had to build the building around it beacuse it is so large.

Summer looking through a giant, glass ball.
