7 Months
Ellen is our sweet 7 month old. She is our happy and patient dream baby. She adores her sister and easily laughs and smiles. Here are a few developments:
1. She can sit up. Yay! She isn't a pro yet, but she can do it for short amounts of time.
2. She is doing an excellent job with solids. She likes her fruits and some vegetables. Anything green tends to get spit out. If she isn't liking her food, she blows raspberries while there is food in her mouth, covering me and anything within range in baby food splatters.
3. We are successfully sleeping without any kind of swaddling.
4. Ellen now likes to eat her feet. That's one of my favorite baby developments-I think it is so cute!
5. She quite likes to play with her toys.
6. Ellen has turned into a thumb sucker. I give her the binky, she spits it out, and sticks her thumb in her mouth. For a while we could get her to take the binky, but she is mostly done with it unless she is really tired.
7. Here are her stats from May 19th at 6 months, 3 weeks old:
Length: 25.25 inches, 12th percentile
Weight: 13 lbs 14 oz, 7th percentile
Head Circumference: 16 inches, 6th percentile
What a doll! I love the smiles and the raspberry face too.
