Growing Up

Here are a few things from this last Sunday that I want to remember. They are all reminders that my baby is not so much of a baby anymore and that she really is growing up.

1. Apparently Summer knows several of her shapes-including a star, heart, square, triangle, and circle. I didn't even teach her those last three, so it really surprised me when she knew them.

2. Summer is also figuring out colors. For the first time on Sunday she sorted out her plastic teddy bears by color-successfully, all by herself, and into their appropriate cups. She's never really come very close to doing it and then all of a sudden she seemed to know just how to do it.

3. In Sacrament meeting on Sunday our bishop got up to make an announcement. As soon as he got up, Summer excitedly started to call him the "Pwof"-or the prophet. I informed her that he was the bishop and not the prophet, but she didn't seem to convinced. It was pretty cute.

4. Summer is my big helper in the kitchen. She will immediately pull over a chair whenever it looks remotely like I am starting to cook anything. She will often tell me multiple times while we are cooking that she is "hewping" and that she is a "good hewper." I don't know about you, but she's about as cute as a little kitchen helper can get.
