One of those Days

Today was one of those days. You know the ones I'm talking about? I am amazed that children live to be adults. I'm also amazed that houses survive children. In a matter of 2 hours, this is what occurred at our house this afternoon:

1. An entire 64 oz cup of water was dumped on the floor (glad it was just water)
2. Summer had a big fall off of a chair (we've had a few of these, but this one was particularly traumatic-glad she's ok)
3. My wall and couch got colored all over with pen
4. Summer escaped from the backyard into the front. We caught her right before she headed into the street.

Now that I write it out, it doesn't sound like much, but mixed with tantrums, trying to make dinner, and a hungry child, it sure made for a crazy couple of hours.

Good thing she's cute!

  1. I have those kind of days all the time with Abi! Everytime I turn around she is into something. She and Summer could be partners in crime!

When Sam comes home and asks how the day went I say " it starts with an A and ends with a B." Then I get ready to list off all the craziness that happened that day, but stop to realize it was only 2 things that don't sound very amazing but at the time were super draining!

For example this morning I got all the kids ready to go to a dentist appointment and sat down at the computer to print off directions. (its in the next town over) and Abi came up and dumped a cup of apple juice into my lap. Not happy. Nothing is safe! I don't know when she got tall enough to reach the counter...

  2. I know what you mean! Some days are definitely like that. And I seriously think cuteness is a survival mechanism... ;)
