Hawaii Day 1
This is day one of our Hawaii vacation. What is that you said? Is that the Space Needle? Why yes, indeed it is. Isn't that in Seattle? Why yes, indeed it is. Weren't you supposed to be in Hawaii? Why yes, we were-but due to some mechanical problems on our first flight, we ended up spending a day in Seattle. We made the best of our time there and saw a few cool things. Also, some of my favorite pictures from our trip were taken here.
We also went over to the Chihuly Garden and Glass. It is right next to the Space Needle (which we didn't go up, but saw) and was a pretty cool museum. It is all blown glass created by Dale Chihuly. You can't get the full scale of some of these projects from the pictures, but several of them were huge-and very impressive.
This center piece filled an entire room. It was probably 15 feet tall.
These boats were big. The large red globe sitting on the floor was probably 2.5-3 ft in diameter.
We finished our afternoon in Seattle with a nice dinner over looking the water. We did make it to Hawaii, a day late, and that blog post is to follow soon!
That glass is pretty dang awesome! I'm excited to hear about this trip to Hawaii.
