6 Months
Summer is now 6 months old-I can't believe it! I feel like 6 months is an accomplishment and we should have parties for reaching it. Instead, our babies get to go to the doctor and receive vaccinations. Such is life. Here are her stats compared to her 4 month appointment
FEBRUARY DECEMBER
Weight: 14.9 lbs, 26th percentile 12.7 lbs, 21st percentile
Height: 26 inches, 54th percentile 24 1/2 in, 67th percentile
Head: 16.75 in, 60th percentile 16 in, 64th percentile
In other words, she's skinny-as noted by both the Dr. and Nurse-but she is also healthy. We started her on solids last week and so far she is not a fan (note the pictures below). For the first few days, I could catch her by surprise and get one good spoonful in her mouth. She has now discovered my tactics and won't even open up for the first one. She does, however, like chewing on the sippy cup we got her and gets pretty excited when she gets a little water out. I guess that's a start.
She is now an expert at moving around the living room through rolling, scooting backwards, diving forward, and a half roll/half scoot to get herself forward. Just today she has made progress in actually moving forward while trying to crawl. It's just a matter of time before she figures it out.
Other talents and skills:
-She can sit up for short periods of time
-making all sorts of noises, included lots of motorcycle sounds and blowing raspberries
-she continues to like to chew and suck on everything, favorites include my hair, any face she gets close enough to, and her thumb
-push-ups, lots of these get done in her attempts to crawl
-getting stuck under the furniture
-splashing during baths, she has figure out how to do this and thinks its great fun

She is BEAUTIFUL! I love all of your pictures!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute and getting so big! It was fun to read all the new things she is doing. Afton is doing much of the same things, except the push-ups, I was very impressed by Summer's skills! I hope you guys are doing well!
