Sunset in the Yasawas.
Playing with some of the boys in the Ba Boys Home. They are orphans and loved to have us come.
Teaching business classes in Vatutavui.
Heed the warning of the sign. I'm surprised there are not more deaths caused by falling coconuts each year.
This was taken on vacation in the Yasawa Islands. This is the "Blue Lagoon." Same place the movie was filmed.
Yasawas. This water was probably 20-30 feet deep and crystal clear.
A couple of the girls in our group taught music lessons at the same time each week. These kids knew that the "palagi" (white people) would walk by at the same time each week, so they would sit and wait for us so they could say "hi."
We lived in Tavua.
Nasivi Village: These women completed our business course. They were excellent students and learned the material inside and out.

Volivoli Beach-a man made beach on the main island.
My friend Brita and I ocean Kayaking.
Yes, he is as big as he looks. Yes, he was in our house. And yes, he was not alone. We had several of these running around our house for a while, and they caused a lot of problems at 3 am-specifically when they crawled in bed with us.
Waiting for the bus.
This is taken at Nakorokula. We got to the village early and the tide was out, so we went out to explore the coast.
Drinking coconut water. Kind of gross.
Sunset in Tavua.
Andie and Save's little girl playing in the extra clay after building a stove.
Building a stove for Andie and Save. They were some of my favorite people-they were so friendly, generous, and a lot of fun to be around.
I snapped this picture as we were walking by.
Little girls singing with us at one of the schools we went to.
