Sodus Point on Lake Ontario

One afternoon Mom & Dad took us up to Sodus Point, which is on Lake Ontario. It was a beautiful drive and we stopped at one of the many roadside stands where you can purchase fresh produce. These little stands were everywhere, and they run off of the honor system. Everything is labeled according to price, you pick what you want, and you drop your money in the little box. They were fun to stop at-and this time of year mostly had pumpkins, gourds, and apples.

This was our first stop on Lake Ontario. It was super windy, so the lake had large waves and looked like the ocean. We had fun sorting through rocks and skipping them. Every rock here was an excellent skpping rock-smooth, flat, and round. These are the rocks that the Lake Rock Homes were made out of. Summer enjoyed stuffing her pockets with them as well.

This is Sodus Point. It is quite pretty and had a cute (from a distance) little lighthouse. We didn't go walk up to it. The kids were fading fast and were ready for dinner. We did spend quite a bit of time looking for fall leaves here.
