Ellen's 1 Year Old
My baby had a birthday and is now one! It's hard to believe it has been a whole year. I kept double checking myself to make sure her birthday really was on the 28th of October and that she really was a year old. It makes me a little sad to know she's getting so big, but it is fun to see more of her personality develop. I'm also excited for the day she is big enough that she and Summer can play together.

Here are her stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz, 6th percentile
Length: 27.5 inches, 5th percentile
Head Circumference: 17 inches, 10th percentile
Here are her developments:
1. Ellen loves to dance. Whevenever she hears music, she'll totally start dancing.
2. Ellen is active! She rarely will sit still for more than a moment. She always wants to be moving and exploring.
3. Ellen has four teeth-two on the bottom and two on top (one of which is just part way through).
4. She is getting really good a cruising along furniture, but has not yet shown interest in walking.
5. We think she is allergic to tomatoes. Sad day. :(
6. Her favorite foods are cheese and bananas. Really, she'll eat most anything, but she gets very excited when she is served either of those.
7. Ellen is learning to hold her own when playing with Summer. I have found her a few times lecturing Summer after Summer has done something to make her mad. She clenches her fist, shakes a little, and totally chews her out. It is really pretty funny.
8. Ellen also now cares a lot more about having toys and being involved in what is going on. She gets mad/upset if she can't play or no one shares with her.
9. She seems to know a few words. She often will say "hi Dad" in the morning to Anders and she also will say "mom." We're not totally sure if they are intentional yet, but they sure seem to be.
10. Ellen likes to copy what we are doing. She'll clap, laugh, blink, and blow raspberries when we do, plus she'll copy sounds that we make. It's pretty fun.

Here is a compilation of all her monthly pictures, in order from left to right, top to bottom starting at one month.
