Summer is 2 1/2
Summer is now 2 1/2. Some days I can't believe she is already that old and some days I treat her like she is a lot older. She is our little talker and always has a lot to say. She currently loves animals (we went to the zoo 6 weeks ago and she's still talking about it), coloring, helping Mom, her teddy bear, Sesame Street (which she calls Elmo Street), reading stories, nursery, and her blanket. By request, she has eaten carrots for breakfast every morning this week and will eat goldfish anytime I let her. Chocolate and milk are also favorites. Every once in a while she'll refer to Anders or I by our first names. She is learning to be a big sister and will even get Ellen to smile now. She can recognize the letter W, count to 10, and tell you that she is 2 years old. She knows the names of all the colors, but has no idea what color is what. Once we've read a story she likes a few times, she will sit down and "read" the story to herself by describing what is happening on each page. She loves to sing and can sing the entire song of: I am a Child of God, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Give said the Little Stream, Once there was a Snowman, Old McDonald (I often sing while she does the animal sounds), the Wheels on the Bus, the ABC's, Jingle Bells, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider. She also will often sing excerpts from "Let it Go." We jumped on the Frozen bandwagon a year too late, but let me tell you, we are all the way on that wagon now. She likes to be tickled by her dad, blow bubbles, and play with friends. She also makes sure that she and Ellen both get kisses anytime Anders or I leave the house. In short, she is our adorable, sweet two year old. We love her!
I set up a mini studio in our living room one day in an attempt to get 2 1/2 year old pictures (I was so proud of my ingenuity). This was the only one, and I mean the ONLY one I got. I was going to try to get some pictures of both girls and even tried to bribe Summer with ice cream at 10:00 in the morning. Ice cream! Apparently sitting and holding Ellen for one minute while I snapped photos was not worth ice cream.
This is the face she makes when I tell her to make a sad face. Haha-so funny!

We built a snowman on the only day possible this year. She loved her snowman and was quite surprised to find him gone just a few days later.

Your photography skills are amazing!! Granted you had 3 adorable little models (if you include G&J son)...but still---I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love Summer's big brown eyes, her pretty hair, and that "sad" face cracks me up!
