Ellen is Now a Month Old

I can't believe Ellen is a month old-how quickly time goes.  Overall she is doing really well. She still continues to throw-up a couple of times a day. Last week she did a lot less of it, so I thought we were starting to get better. However, the last several days I have been proven wrong. I seem to be her target of choice most times, which is not my favorite, but each time I'm secretly glad it's not my couch or the carpet.

She is also starting to have longer stretches at night in which she sleeps. Every once in a while, she'll sleep for about 5 hours, but most nights she eats about every three hours. If I time it right, I can feed her right before bed, so I'm only up twice a night. Also, she is not up for as long during the night. We used to be up for at least an hour when she got up to eat, but we are now down to about 30 minutes.

Three days before her one month mark, Ellen weighed in at 7 lbs even. She gained an entire pound in a week and a half. I guess she's not starving. She is also more alert during the day and has definite long periods of time when she is awake- having a loud older sister helps with that. She is also getting stronger and more social.

She also loves to cuddle up to anyone who is willing to hold her. Her favorite position is to be on her stomach with her head on your chest. She almost always immediately falls asleep if held that way.

We love our sweet little girl! Here are a few I've taken in the last month.
