9 months
Summer has reached 9 months old. It dawned on me that she has now spent as much time outside of the womb as she did inside. 9 months is a long time to be pregnant-it feels that way when pregnant and it sure feels that way now.
Here are her stats and developments:
Weight: 16.5 lbs (23%)
Length: 27 3/4 inches (56%)
Head Circumference: 17.5 in (68%)
Developments:
-She can pull up on things-people, furniture, and anything else remotely stable.
-She can go up the stairs. She learned this skill a few weeks ago. One day Anders and I were working in the kitchen and I realized I couldn't hear her playing anymore. I quickly scanned the kitchen and living room and she was no where to be found. Suddenly I looked up and she was at the top of the stairs, as proud as could be. We are still working on how to go down...
-Solid foods are still not her favorite. We're lucky to get one good meal in a day. Her favorites are bananas and peaches. She also loves watermelon, which she eats through a little mesh feeding bag. The vegetables and cereals are tolerable.
-She enjoys "graduates," little baby crackers that quickly dissolve in her mouth. These are the secret to a quiet Sacrament Meeting.
-She "talks" a lot, but especially when she is mad or tired. It's like she is telling some horrible story or lecturing me. It's pretty cute.
-She crawls everywhere and very quickly-with her knees off the ground and her bum in the air.
-She stills tastes everything that comes near her mouth, including all the spring blossoms that fell off our neighbors tree. They were pretty, but I'll be glad when they are gone. She also tastes every stair as she goes up. She puts her mouth on the next step at mouth level, gives it a little lick and taste, and then continues on her way up.
I put this one in because you can see her two little teeth fairly well.
